Right, if all goes to plan, remixes volume one should be available to you on October 6th 2008. The stuff is in the process of getting mastered and the cases are nearly complete. I am in the midst of sorting out online distribution, so the release will be available in your favourite download shops. I have made 30 physical copies, 29 of which will be for sale (I want to keep the first one like a sad bastard). I am thinking they will be onsale for £3.50 each (the extra 50p is because they are all handmade and it took feckin ages. I may do a second run but this is very unlikely and they probably won’t be as nice - so be quick. If you want to reserve a copy you can do by emailing me at stuart@commanderkeen.co.uk.

We had a song used on the telly an that

In other news i am hoping that remixes volume one will be available mid October. I have been manufacturing cases like a bass tard. There will be a limited edition run of 25 physical copies and digital distribution of this first installment of remixes. I hope to make our second EP available soon after…but more on that another day.

So…here’s what’s been happening the last month or so. I have split it up into appropriately titled segments for your reading pleasure:

EP II

I have hopefully completed mixing of EP II, I will find out from my mastererererererer if it needs tweeked or not before it gets mastererererered, then i can start to try and figure out what is going to happen with it. Without going into details, the E.P. will not be released through Hackpen, we would like to thank Steve at Hackpen for all the “My Tascam Dreams” related stuff and wish all involved all the best for the future.

My Tamed Sarcasm - CK Remixes Volume One

ok..so this wee remixes E.P has gone through so many changes over the past few months, i basically decided that i like one track and hate the other two, so i am going to do some more work on this as I get the chance, hopefully i should come up with the final copies within the month of July…hopefully…

More Remixes

I am in the final stages of a remix for Glasgow pop terrorists Over The Wall and Down The Tiny Steps, check back in a few weeks and they should be available for a wee listen. The remix of Over The Wall’s “Thurso” is nearly there, I am just waiting on one last contribution. I know that’s maybe a bit irrelivant but i put it in just incase her thats doing the contributing is reading this.

Other Collaborations

I also just recently confirmed a wee two track collaboration with the wonderful and talented Iona Marshall which will be a downtempo folk-hop effort, i think this will be a lot of fun and a complete departure from anything i have done before. Yay!

I am also producing a two track single for friend and occasional CK drums contributor Barry Mclean. This was a bit of a new experience for me, as it’s quite poppy, but again a lot of fun. The tracks should be ready in a few months from now.
